Corrections
Fact-checkers make mistakes. The difference between a credible operation and an incredible one is whether those mistakes get corrected, in public, with a note that doesn't try to hide what changed.
Our policy
- Every correction is published at the top of the affected fact-check, dated, and describes what changed.
- We never silently edit a rating. If a rating changes, the change is logged.
- If a fact-check turns out to be substantially wrong on its central point, we may unpublish it; in that case, the URL still loads, but it shows the unpublication note and the reason.
- We respond to every good-faith correction request within 7 days.
How to request a correction
Email corrections@magashmaga.com with:
- A link to the fact-check in question.
- The specific assertion you believe is incorrect.
- Evidence supporting your claim — primary sources are most persuasive.
